Of A Revolution...
So last weekend I went to the O.A.R. concert with Alex, my little brother (fraternity). It was pretty sweet, to get the story check out Alex's blog. I will had that Howie Day was kind of a douche, but Matt Nathanson was cool. Here is a picture of Wente and the bicyclists we saw:
Also, I almost got too drunk Saturday night... I started passing out at Joe's. I saw people I knew at Joe's and then we went to Hogs and Honey's and I saw people I knew there. That always creeps me out a bit b/c it is such a huge city. One of the girls I saw went to Hinsdale Central (a year ahead of me) I asked her if she remembered my name, hoping she wouldn't b/c I didn't remember hers, and she did... Damn! Well, really get the rest of the story from Wente's blog. A couple more pics on the photoblog, too.

Guess What... I'm Drunk
OK, So I decided not to go out tonight... Not to go up to Ripon and so on. So I just bought a 18 of Miller Lite and started drinking, so now I am drunk.
Basically I just want to talk about last weekend, July 4th, if you will. Well, Saturday I drove up to Ripon in the worst weather ever. I picked up Eileen and drove right back... well we stopped for the worst Burger King Chicaken Tenders ever. We got back to Chicago at about 12 or something. We changed and got a cab by my place... In the alley actually, wierd. went to lincoln park and got soaked walking to the bar from the cab. We hit a couple of bars, got drunk then caught a cab home. I think we sat around most of Sunday and then we grilled Sunday night. Monday I woke my ass up early and went to work. I left work early at 1:30... well I washed my car first and then left. Eileen and I went to dinner at my parents house, they were happy to see her, they like her and know how happy she makes me. After that we drove up to Ripon. I slept on her sister's living room floor. I left Tuesday morning and went to my parents house shaved and then went to get a haircut, then ytpo work.
What is the moral of this story? I want Eileen to move down here. This was a taste of that. The couple days she was down here was heaven, plain and simple. Crazy I know but that is how I feel. I just think that she does everything for me.
I gotta go.

Fourth of July
Well I had to work Friday, Saturday and Monday so I didn't really go anywhere... Far... For a long time. OK, on Saturday I drove to WI and back. Monday night I drove up there and Tuesday morning I drove back and straight to work... So tired.
The weekend was basically a glimpse of the dream. I did see a lot of fireworks from my back porch of my apartment.
Well, I'm out. Party on Saturday the 17th.

Top Ten Dream Cars for Me
OK, here is how it works... I am given 10 "tokens" each one is good to buy one car regardless of cost/value. Maintainance and insurance are also covered with each token. The cars, however cannot be sold. In other words each car is chosen because it is that car and for the love of the car. Here they are, in order:
10. Land Rover Range Rover-Dark Metallic Red; Just to basically have an SUV. I would make it a bonafide off-roader, no crazy chrome wheels. Other than that, Land Rovers are piles of shit.
9. Honda S2000-Yellow or Black; These have the best looking factory wheels. It is a tight little ragtop.
8. 1982 Fiat Spider 2000 Turbo-Navy Blue; I learned to drive on this car when I was 14, and I haven't been able to shake it yet.
7. Nissan 350Z Coupe-Silverstone; I honestly love my car and I couldn't due without it.
6. Mercedes Benz CL600; This is the one to take care of the family sedan catagory. Honestly a V12?! Awesome... Badass
5. BMW Z4-Silver; A great, agressive restyling of the Z3. This would be suck a great drop-top to bomb around the back roads in Green Lake.
4. Mercedes Benz SL55-Black; Kind of an old-man's car, but just waaaaay too smooth to leave off the list.
3. Cadillac XLR-Black; The Caddy Corvette.
2. BMW Alpina Z8 Roadster-Black; This is a car that I believe will forver be an intrigal point in BMW's history. Sexy, sexy, sexy.
1. Aston Martin DB7 V12 Vanquish-Silver; James Bond's car, but I liked it way before the movie used it. This car oozes British class and raw power. Seriously the hottest car on the list.
So that's it. Let me know what you think, or what your top few are.

It Was What We Call "A Ripper" Today
Jesus fucking Christ. I got to work at 6:30am and left at 6:45pm... No lunch break. The branch wrote 58 contracts (that is the people that got into cars, not including those that got out). Add to that the 15+ written at our BMW satellite and 5+ written at our Land Rover. Let's look at is this way: We try to aim around 10 minutes per contract. That is just the time the customer spends in the office. So if you are talking about near 80 contracts, that equals 13 hours 20 minutes writing contracts. Divided by 5 guys, so that is 2 hours 40 minutes of JUST writing contracts. That does not include checking people out of cars, which I figure was about 50-60, answering phones: "Thank you for choosing Enterprise, the company that picks you up, this is Rob" "Thank you for choosing Enterprise, the company that picks you up, this is Rob" "Thank you for choosing Enterprise, the company that picks you up, this is Rob" "Thank you for choosing Enterprise, the company that picks you up, this is Rob" "Thank you for choosing Enterprise, the company that picks you up, this is Rob" "Thank you for choosing Enterprise, the company that picks you up, this is Rob" "Thank you for choosing Enterprise, the company that picks you up, this is Rob" "Thank you for choosing Enterprise, the company that picks you up, this is Rob" "Thank you for choosing Enterprise, the company that picks you up, this is Rob" "Thank you for choosing Enterprise, the company that picks you up, this is Rob". It doesn't include getting people, taking them back to where ever. I didn't take a lunch, but the other guys did. However, after the day was done we all had a good time and made fun of a lot of the day's customers, for example: This one lady I was helping was really bitchy the whole time about the features the car had that I was giving her did not meet up to her expectations. Finally she let me know that she had been talking to another office the whole time, in fact, it was an intern that has been with the company for all of 2 weeks. She did not know that the place where we were to pick up this woman was actually in our territory. So I said to her "Well I will mention that to her, I will also let her manager and our area manager know that she has not learned what her area is yet. They will probably write her up so that will take care of that, OK?" Her fucking expression changed immediately, and like a goddamn mouse she goes "ok." Now first of all there is no way in HELL this girl would ever get in trouble. No one would ever write her up, and no one would ever blame her. But I loved making the customer feel like shit, she was a bitch from the get-go.
Well anyway, Saturday was really cool. At about 3:00 I got to my assistant manager's place in Lincoln Park. This place is sweet. It includes a MASSIVE rooftop section ripe for playing bags, watching the Cubs/Sox game, grillin', and havin' a keg. We drank there until 10:30 or so and then headed to some local bar(s). The first place we went I actually decided to walk to. Right in front of the place I saw Jesse Rye and Mike Para, really fucking random. Then we hit a place called Bachus (or something). It was a swanky place where I had to loose my hat, oh well. At about 3:00-3:30 I had to get going. My car was only a few blocks away and the drive home was a breeze. I went to bed and ended up sleeping until 2:45 pm on Sunday. I had originally woken up at 7:15 because of the fucking dog next door! Well at any rate I had a good time. Too bad the Cubs lost on Saturday.
Don't be lazy... leave a comment, I know you have 'em!

Holy Crap... It's Time to Do This Again
Fuck, it has been way too long. I am so sorry. I do occasionally check to see if people are checking the blog and I do start to feel a little bad when there are people that check and I am doing jack. At any rate...
I started back at the Westmont office on Monday. Almost immediately I was like "why the fuck did I do this?" Well there are a couple of reasons:
1. My area manager, Stan, asked me to do it. A good rule to follow is that if your boss' boss asks you to do something you should prolly do it.
2. I had a chance to sit down the Stan's boss, Kevin and asked him about the move. In short he said that going to a bigger office always increases your promotability.
3. The Westmont office is about 230-240 cars in fleet, but I was hearing rumors that they were going to be purchasing 25 BMW X3's which translates to instant fleet growth and on top of that they were going to be selling our 10 325i's which in-turn means that the branch will make fat cash on the sale of those.
4. Eileen said I should.
5. Most importantly my parents said it would be a good move.
So I worked from 6:45 am until 7:15pm on Friday (yesterday).
Last night I went out with Maxwell and we met up with Craite (Craig and Kate) who were breezing through town. We had planned on watching Maxwell do a set, but the place was bust and we left to go to Wrigleyville where we were all confident we got swindled for parking. We drank a bit at Mullens out on their patio. The weather has been so fucking perfect for so long here (Ali, you are going to love coming back home!). Craig drove Maxwell and I back to my place at the end of the night and I was giving directions from the back seat the whole way. Well about 2 blocks from our last turn I passed the fuck out. All of a sudden I heard talking as we were passing through an intersection and I caught a glimpse of the street sign... we were now 10 blocks past our turn. That converts to 1 mile (10 blocks to a mile in Chicago). oops. When we turned around we were heading back up Taylor street. As we passed Hawkeye's I told Craig to just let us off there and Maxwell and I went and had a pitcher to end the night.
On July 10th I will be seeing O.A.R. in Chicago with B4 (Alex Wente, my little bro., for those of you not familiar). I went ahead and bought 4 tickets, eventhough I clearly can't afford them. I told him I would pay for his and he can decided who gets the other ticket and I am taking Katie. I guess he is having his ex-girlfriend come... or someone like that. It should be a damn good time. It is about two or three blocks from Joe's. Should be a good night.
So I had been kicking around the idea of having a party here and I have gone ahead and solidified the plan. It will be Saturday July 17th. I think it will be a "Welcome Home Ali"/"Happy Moving Out Nick"/"Happy Trails Meghan" shindig... yeah definitely a "shindig."
Today I am going to a BBQ at Tim's house (my assistant manager), but first I have to drive all the way out to the 'burbs to pick someone up and then go all the way up north to Lincoln Park where is place is. Oh well.
So I guess that is about all you can stomach for now. I wish you all would leave a few comments. Eve if you just want to call me an asshole or something else original that's fine. Take care for now.
